(VOVworld) – The Party politburo worked with the Standing Committee of the Central Police Party Committee on preparations for their upcoming Party congress.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that the Congress should focus on improving the fighting capacity and leadership of the Party Committee and building a strong, clean People’s Police Force to maintain political security and social order, contributing to national construction and defense. He said: “The People’s Police Force should provide accurate information for the Party and state in order to foil any subversive scheme by hostile forces. We should take the initiative in all matters be they the East Sea issue or border issues.”

Mr. Trong said that the police force must be loyal to the Party, close to the people and strictly follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings.
