(VOVworld)- On Friday, the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee and the Standing Committee of Hanoi Municipal Party Committee discussed the draft documents and preparations for Hanoi’s 16th Municipal Party Congress.

In his address, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong urged Hanoi to review its strength and weaknesses and respond resolutely to resolutions and conclusions of the Party Central Committee, the Party Politbureau and the government’s strategies to work out development directions for the coming years.

Trong suggested Hanoi to strengthen administrative reforms, improve human resources, and cultural and transport infrastructure, reduce gaps between localities and focus on development investment to become a national hub of politics, culture, economics, services and tourism.
The Party leader laid an emphasis on the importance of Party building to strengthen the Party organization and prevent degradation of political stance and lifestyle among Party members.
