President Truong Tan Sang has paid working visit to the northern province of Ha Giang. During his meeting with local leaders on Sunday, president Sang called for more efforts on human resource training and the building of Party and local government: “Ha Giang has made progress in infrastructure which paves the way for plant and gardening development. This will improve agricultural productivity and tourism”.

The President also called for successful implementation of the 11th national party congress and the national target program on new rural areas. He also said the agreement on land border demarcation between Vietnam and China provides important foundation to build a border of peace, friendship, lasting stability, cooperation and development for the benefits of the two peoples. He was speaking during a visit to the 313 border guard station: “Once the border demarcation has been completed, we need to ensure a border of peace, friendship and cooperation. Cooperation with local people must be ensured to boost socio-economic development.”
