State President Truong Tan Sang has urged the northern border province of Cao Bang to speed up building new rural areas by reducing poor households. At a working session with the provincial authorities on Friday, the President said Cao Bang should finalize major transport projects to boost trade.

Earlier, working with the provincial Police, he asked for closer coordination with local border guard forces and people to ensure political stability and social order.
