Press briefing on year-end National Assembly session’s working agenda

(VOVworld) - The National Assembly Office Chief has hosted a press briefing on key issues to be discussed at the upcoming National Assembly session. Deputies will meet for a month from next Monday to pass 18 laws and comment on a dozen of others.

They will look at issues of public concern including a proposal on textbooks and curriculum, the government’s report on East Sea situation and Chinese artificial reefs on Vietnam’s Hoang Sa archipelago. Deputies will comment on a proposal to build Long Thanh international airport and cast their votes of confidence on 50 executive positions. Head of the National Assembly Office, Nguyen Hanh Phuc, said: “We will go ahead with resolution No 35 on votes of confidence for positions elected and approved by the National Assembly. The process will comply with this resolution and will be reviewed after vote casting.”
