(VOVworld) - Martin Kobler, Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, said on Wednesday that discussions on establishing a Government of National Accord (GNA) are making progress.

He said the role of General Khalifa Haftar, commander of the Libyan National Army, has been debated for the past 2 months, and that a deal ending the conflict in Libya will be reached in a few weeks. Mr. Kobler added that deals between the parties must be approved by the Libyan Parliament later this year.
