(VOVworld) – A seminar to discuss the lessons from operations to protect Hanoi’s sky was co-organized by the Air Defense Division 361 and People’s Army newspaper on Thursday. The meeting was part of activities to mark the 50^th founding anniversary of Division 361.

Delegates reviewed triumphant victories, the creativity, and bravery of Division 361’s soldiers and citizens in defeating the US B52 bombers over Hanoi, Hai Phong, and other northern provinces in December 1972.

Colonel Dang Dinh Thuan, Political Commissar of Division 361 of the Vietnam’s Air Defense and Air Force, said: “It’s important to encourage the soldiers’ political will so that they are ready to fight for national defense and fulfill their mission. We have to analyze fighting tactics and apply them to training programs to ensure our soldiers are prepared for any potential air strikes.”
