(VOVworld) - Switzerland has always attached importance to improving its relations with Vietnam, said Swiss President Simonetta Sommaruga at a reception in Bern on Tuesday for the new Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Pham Hai Bang.

The President pledged to continue honoring commitments to provide official development assistance to Vietnam. Ambassador Bang said the Vietnamese Party and State have always attached importance to cooperation with Switzerland, and that Vietnam hopes to welcome a high-ranking Swiss delegation to Vietnam sometime soon.
