Permanent Secretary of Defense Surasak Kanchanarat said political party reform, decentralization of power, and investigation and punishment of those who committed electoral fraud topped the military's agenda. Surasak told reporters that the military government discussed election obstacles and corruption issues on Monday. The junta leader, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, said Friday that a new, temporary charter will be issued this month. The army chief said this will allow an interim cabinet to be installed until September 2015 and a reform council scheduled for one month later.
