(VOVworld) – The Ukraine’s army and the opposition group in Ukraine’s eastern region exchanged 38 detainees from each side, some 30 kilometers north of Donetsk under international observers’ supervision. There’s no exact statistics on the number of detainees kept by each side but they have begun swaps of detainees in small groups in accordance to a ceasefire reached on September 5^th.

Head of the Ukrainian’s negotiating delegation, Yuriy Tandit, expressed his content over prisoners’ swaps with the ceasefire reached in Minsk, Belarus, adding that the opposition group in Ukarine should have more similar willing activities in the future.
