(VOVworld)- The 2^nd National Congress of the Vietnam Bar Association opened in Hanoi on Saturday. In his address, President Truong Tan Sang recalled the Party Politburo’s resolution on judicial reform strategy until 2020 and the 2013 Constitution emphasizing that they are the orientation and important legal foundation to develop the lawyer job in Vietnam.

President Sang said:“The Vietnam Bar Association needs to work closely with state agencies to fine-tune its organization from central to grassroots level and improve its performance. The Association also needs to strengthen inspection and supervision activities, focus on training and improve the quality of lawyers. Each lawyer needs to exert effort to improve their political stance, professionalism, foreign language skills and accumulate experiences to become good lawyers who are capable of participating in international organizations and settling international disputes”.

President Sang said the Vietnamese Party and State will continue facilitating the Vietnam Bar Association and Vietnamese lawyers to fulfill their tasks.
