(VOVworld) - Vietnam and China  held the sixth round of negotiations on an agreement regarding free navigation of boats at the Kang Long river mouth in Beijing from August 6 to 11. The negotiations were chaired by the Vietnamese and Chinese Heads of their respective sub-commissions in the Vietnamese-Chinese Land Border Joint Committee. In a frank and constructive manner, both sides agreed on a draft agreement on boats and a code of traveling attached to the agreement. They pledged to review their domestic laws rapidly and hold the next round of talks for the final signing of the agreement. An early finalization of negotiations and signing of an agreement on the free navigation of boats at the Kang Long river mouth and an agreement on cooperation in protecting and exploiting tourism resources in the Ban Gioc Waterfall this year will promote bilateral trade, economic, tourism and friendship cooperation between Vietnam and China, reflecting both countries’ determination to foster a border of peace, stability, friendship and cooperation.
