Truong Gia Binh, chairman of the Viet Nam Software Association (Vinasa), said Vietnam has maintained its position as Japan’s second largest partner in terms of information technology since 2012 and a most favored partner of Japanese businesses. But he stressed more effort is needed to help Vietnam satisfy Japan’s demands regarding human resources in ICT: "Vietnam’s training capacity has improved significantly in recent years but has not fully met Japan’s requirements. Japanese teaching remains limited in many Vietnamese ICT colleges and schools and there are currently only 2 ICT training courses in Japanese in universities. What we lack now are IT engineers who are capable of both Japanese language and working methods."
