Vietnam, Mexico expect closer higher education ties

(VOVworld) – Vietnam and Mexico have agreed to work more closely in higher education. This was agreed at a recent meeting between Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Nghia and Socorro Rovirosa, Director General of International Relations at Mexican Education Ministry, on the sidelines of the 4th International Preschool Education Conference (IPEC) held in Monterrey late last week.

Both briefed each other on their countries’ developments and higher education adding that the bilateral multifaceted cooperation will be based on mutual assistance and benefits to bilateral friendship.

Nghia said that a bilateral cooperation agreement in higher education will focus on information and reference materials exchange between universities to improve teaching methods. The cooperation will be conducted through delegations, scholarship programs, and a mutual recognition of university diplomas.
