(VOVworld)- On Thursday, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Myanmar Assembly of the Union and the Speaker of the Upper House Mahn Win Khaing Than.

At the meeting, Madam Ngan urged the two legislative agencies to boost cooperation and prepare for the 9^th session of the Joint Committee on Vietnam-Myanmar Bilateral Cooperation. The two sides agreed to increased experience sharing, especially in institution and law building, and enhance cooperation at regional and global forums. Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than said that he hoped to learn from Vietnam’s experience in organizing the AIPA and IPU. Also that day, Ms Ngan met the Chairman of House of Representatives Uyn Min, where she affirmed Vietnam’s desire to strengthen its traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Myanmar. The Myanmar legislator called for further cooperation between the two legislatures, especially in law building.
