Vietnam, Thailand parliament boost bilateral relations

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung held talks with visiting President of the Thailand Senate Teeradej Meepien on Friday in Hanoi. Mr. Hung expressed his deep sympathy to Thai people who have suffered from consequences of the recent floods and hoped that the government and people of Thailand will soon recover for their national development. The National Assembly Chairman suggested two sides enhance experience sharing, closely coordinate in supervisory work and promote cooperative programs and projects. He added that exchange of visits by both sides' parliament members should be expanded, contributing to developing the friendly relations between the two legislative bodies and the two peoples. Chairman Hung also asked Thailand to create more favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to do business there.

Thai Senate President Mr. Teeradej Meenpien confirmed the support to Vietnamese people who are living and working in Thailand. He also expressed his hope there will be more exchanges between groups of parliament members which helps promote relations between the people and parliaments of the two countries.
