(VOVworld) - The World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY) Congress opened in Havana, Cuba, on Monday gathering 130 representatives of 70 organisations from 35 countries across the globe.

The Vietnamese delegation is led by Nguyen Dac Vinh, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee.

While in Cuba, the Vietnamese delegation will meet with leaders of the Cuban Communist Youth Union Central Committee and take part in a number of the union’s activities.

Participants will attend an exchange with representatives of several local and an art performance celebrating the 70th anniversary of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, and visit the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp.
