Vietnam hosts 5th Asian Development Forum

(VOVworld) - Institutional capacity and infrastructure for productivity improvement, innovation, and economic transformation are high on the agenda of the 5th Asian Development Forum (ADf-5) that opened in Hanoi on Friday.

Participants will share lessons and learn from others’ experience in on human resource development, measures to boost productivity, and financial resource mobilization for sustainable development. They will share ideas on infrastructure development to ensure the efficient shifting of human resources and goods based on ADB’s Asia 2050 Report. Ways to avoid the middle income trap will also be discussed. Through the forum, Vietnam hopes to learn more about the legal framework of privatization, the involvement of the private sector, and the application of the market economy.
