According to Ngo Thi Minh, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Culture, Education, Adolescents, and Children, the courts will ensure the rights of children and adolescents, who should be considered victims instead of perpetrators once they commit crimes.

The court system on families and adolescents will help juvenile delinquents correct their mistakes and become good citizens.

Minh said: “We plan to operate juvenile courts from central to local levels. The government and judicial agencies are working on procedures to establish them this year.”
