The event, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy and the Makro Group, promoted Vietnamese fruits seeking greater acceptance in the Czech Republic and other Eastern and Central European countries. At the event, 19 kinds of Vietnamese fresh fruits, including longan, lychee, and banana were displayed and sold. Customers had a chance to taste and learn about the uses and benefits of these tropical fruits. The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetables Association said Vietnam increased its fruit and vegetable exports 33 percent this year, earning  1.17 billion USD in the first half of 2016.
