Government to continue fine-tuning institutions in 2017

(VOVworld)-The Government will continue to complete institutions in 2017 to facilitate citizens and businesses, said Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung at a press conference in Hanoi on Friday following the monthly cabinet meeting.

Mr. Dung elaborated that the Government will complete and submit to the National Assembly amendments and supplements of several articles of trade and investment laws. The government will also quickly finalise a draft resolution on key tasks and measures to improve the business climate and national competitiveness in 2017.  The Minister said measures to reduce land rental and income tax for workers in technology and farm produce processing, have brought about encouraging results last year, with a record 110,000 new firms established. Vietnam jumped 9 notches, from 91st to 82nd, out of 190 economies measured in the World Bank’s Doing Business report 2016.
