(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Information and Communications on Monday held a training workshop on communications of the 2013 Constitution for over 100 reporters, editors, officials from the southern provincial Departments of Information and Communications.

Speaking at the event in Nha Trang, Minister Nguyen Bac Son underlined the significance of the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, which came into force on January 1. He urged press agencies to develop plans to disseminate the Constitution throughout society, combining it with the campaign for the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.

Trần Ngọc Đường, a senior expert at the National Assembly and a member of the Constitution Revision Board, analyzed the new points and revisions in the Constitution. The 2013 Constitution consistently defines state power as belonging to the people, and the fundamental rights and obligations of Vietnamese citizens are precise, concrete, and in line with international conventions.
