(VOVworld) – The Hemophilia Vietnam and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion held a meeting in Hanoi on Saturday to mark World Hemophilia Day on April 17 and a conference of Hemophilia patients.

This year’s event is themed “Build a family of support for those living with them”.

Hemophilia is a genetic and lifelong disease, causing patient to bleed for many times. Without treatment, hemophilia patients would become disabled and paralyzed.

 It is estimated that Vietnam has about 6,000 Hemophilia patients, 40% of them are receiving regular treatment.
