(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has promised to support the Economic Commission of the Party Central Committee in fulfilling its advisory role in national socio-economic development. At a meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday, the Prime Minister urged the Commission to mobilize the necessary resources and strengthen coordination with relevant agencies. Dung agreed to set up a Steering Committee to review the 5-year implementation of the Party resolution on fine-tuning the mechanism of socialist-oriented market economy stressing the need to ensure the work’s schedule. Dung said:“We should particularly focus on reviewing the mechanism of the socialist-oriented market economy. Every part of Vietnam’s development growth and renovation is closely attuned to reforms of the economic mechanism whose nature is the market economy and the promotion of democracy in the economic field. Article 10 of the Enterprise Law and the Law on Foreign Investment are the milestones marking the country’s rapid growth in connection with reforming economic mechanisms”.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to continue with the planned socialist-oriented market economy to help accelerate national industrialization and modernization. He said it was important to follow market rules, especially in terms of prices. The State will use any necessary tools to ensure social equality and progress, help the poor and social beneficiaries as well as narrow the gap between rich and poor.
