VOV to become a multimedia communications group

(VOVworld) – Radio the Voice of Vietnam President Nguyen The Ky attended a ceremony on Sunday to donate five houses to ethnic minority people in the central highlands province of Dac Lac as part of his working visit there.

On Saturday, Ky visited VOV’s transmission station in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dac Lac province, the office of the National Assembly TV Channel in the Central Highlands, and VOV bureau in the region.

Addressing the functions, Ky asked the agencies to practice thrift, use the funds efficiently, streamline organizational structure, and be united to promptly turn VOV into a multimedia communication group in the new era.

He said: “We must define our strategy of developing VOV into a multimedia communications group including radio, television, print, and e-newspaper. Each media should develop strongly and support the others to promote the brand of VOV. It’s necessary to improve the leadership, management, and administration, especially for VOV’s bureau in the Central Highlands. We’ll prioritize the difficult regions such as the Central Highlands and Northwestern regions.”
