At a working session with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Defense, and other relevant agencies in Hanoi on Wednesday, President Quang said the APEC Week will be the year’s most important event, where heads of states and leaders from 21 APEC member economies will attend. Through 2 inspection tours of Da Nang city in July and October, foreign delegations applauded Vietnam’s preparations, but Mr. Quang called for more efforts to safeguard both the APEC Summit and bilateral talks in Da Nang, Quang Nam, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City, among others.

He urged the Ministry of Public Security to continue working with the police forces of other countries for information sharing, and coordinate with Interpol and the ASEAN Criminal Police Organization to review lists of terrorists, terrorism suspects, and most wanted.
