Tongwei Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. in An Duong Industrial Park welcomed 80% of its workers back to work after the 7-day holiday. Yang Jin Ke, General Director of the Tongwei Company, said the company's phase 2 construction project has continued to meet its production expansion this year.

“This year our production is expected to increase 30 to 40% compared to last year. The company's current infrastructure and factories in phase 1 will not be able to meet the demand. Therefore, factories in phase 2 will be put into operation. We are striving to have the first factory of phase 2 to begin operation by the end of June,” said Yang Jin Ke.

An Duong Industrial Park has 30 operating enterprises. Six to eight enterprises are scheduled to start operation this year. Zhao Fa Ke, Chairman of the Board of Members and General Director of Tham Viet Investment Joint Stock Company, says production in the Industrial Park is strong and is expected to prosper this year.

“Last year the production of all businesses was better than in 2022. The HMT company’s orders increased 80% compared to 2022, and the Raylink company reported an increase of 50%. This year, everyone is even more optimistic. Before Tet businesses held parties and handed out Tet bonuses to workers. Many arranged buses to take workers to their remote hometowns for Tet and bring them back to work. Activities were organized to raise workers’ spirits,” said Zhao.

The Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board said that despite global instability, foreign-invested businesses in Hai Phong have provided stable employment for workers.
