Vietnam Airlines among Vietnam’s 10 best firms

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam Airlines Corporation was the 8th most valuable brand in Vietnam in 2018, according to a recent report by branded business valuation consultancy firm Brand Finance. As of January 1, 2019, the brand value of Vietnam Airlines was 416 million USD, up 34 percent in one year.

Vietnam Airlines’ ranking rose one place in 2018. Brand Finance said brand has played an increasing role in Vietnam Airlines’ success, noting that brand value accounted for 8 percent of Vietnam Airlines’ total value in 2017. This rose to 10 percent last year.

Last year, Vietnam Airlines was one of 97 firms honoured as national brands by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the National Brand Council. It was the only aviation company honored last year. It was the second time it had earned the honour.

The core values of the National Brand Program are quality, innovation, creativity, and pioneering capability. Vietnam Airlines has maintained its 4-start quality in 3 consecutive years and intends to offer 5-star quality in 2020. Vietnam Airlines has taken the lead in applying advanced cockpit and wireless entertainment technology and will provide wifi-on-board soon.

Last year, Vietnam Airlines cooperated with Food Ambassador Luke Nguyen to introduce Vietnamese foods and specialties on flights – Luc Ngan litchis, Hung Yen longans, and Cao Phong oranges.

To boost its brand, Vietnam Airlines will expand its fleet with modern planes and improved services.
