Non Nuoc Cao Bang global geopark’s magnificient beauty

Hi (VOVWORLD) - Non Nuoc Cao Bang has been designated a global geopark by UNESCO, making it the second global geopark in Vietnam after the Dong Van Karst Plateau in Ha Giang province.

Non Nuoc Cao Bang covers more than 3,000 sq.km. spreading over 9 districts. The limestone terrain contains Thang Hen lake, Phia Oac-Phia Den National Park, Ban Gioc waterfall, Pac Bo cave, and Lenin stream. Photo: Hachi.

Thang Hen lake is in Tra Linh district, 30 km from Cao Bang city. Its name in the Tay language means ‘bee sting’ because it looks from above like a bee’s stinger.
