100 publications win 2013 Vietnam Book Awards

(VOVworld) – 100 publications were honored at the 2013 Vietnam Book Awards ceremony, held by the Vietnam Publishers Association Saturday in Hanoi. Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission for Communication and Education, attended the ceremony. According to Do Quy Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Publishers Association, the awarded books cover political theories, social and human sciences, and technological sciences. The book set on the history of the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos from 1930 to 2007 wins a special award.

The book “Traces of Vietnam in East Sea” wrote by Dr. Tran Cong Truc, former head of the Government Border Committee, in cooperation with Dr. Nguyen Nha, won the silver prize. The book provide strong evidence of Vietnamese traces in East Sea, contributing to enhancing people’s knowledge on the issues while affirming Vietnam’s consistent stance and determination to protect its maritime sovereignty.
