At a meeting in Hanoi on Friday, young leaders representing 25 million Vietnamese young people, held talks with officials from the government and Youth Union. Topics of discussion included obstacles to job generation for the disabled, incentives to attract young graduates to return home to contribute to their homeland development, and the employment of trained young ethnic people. Nguyen Trong Dam, Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, said: “Vietnam has adopted enough incentives to encourage young people to work in the mountain areas, either in industry, agriculture, or trade. Business start-up will be supported with initial capital, enjoy land rental preferences and tax deferments. Graduates majoring in agriculture will be provided with jobs under the sustainable poverty reduction and new rural area programs”.
