The participants, including Russian citizens in Ho Chi Minh city and former Vietnamese students who have studied in Russia, congratulated the nation’s achievements in developing the economy to become one of the world’s top ten major economies. Vietnamese-Russian relations have made great breakthroughs since the two sides elevated their strategic partnership to comprehensive partnership in 2012. The two countries have implemented agreements and cooperative projects in various areas such as energy, defense, and personnel training, bringing two-way trade turnover to 10 billion USD by 2020. There are 20 Russian-invested projects with a total investment capital of more than 40 million USD.
