(VOVworld) – A new school has made its debut in Truong Sa or Spratly, making it the second built on the archipelago. This was announced at a Saturday conference in Ho Chi Minh City to review the 2nd phase of the program “For beloved students in Truong Sa” launched last August by the Vu A Dinh Fund in cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City’s Law newspaper and Television. The new school on Sinh Ton island was built at a cost of 600,000 USD contributed by organizations and individuals nationwide and will begin its operation next week. Truong My Hoa, former Vice State President, and chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh scholarship fund, said: "By taking care of the children living on the islands, we have created the best conditions for their parents, who are soldiers and staff working on the islands, to fulfill their tasks. This is part of the government’s efforts to ensure security and order on our sea and islands."
