49th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee opens
(VOVworld) – The Standing Committee of the 13th National Assembly convened its 49th session to make preparations for the 1st meeting of the 14th National Assembly.

On the same day, the deputies approved the regulation on organization and operation of juries. The meeting also discussed the agenda for the upcoming 1st session of the 14th National Assembly.
In the afternoon, the National Assembly Standing Committee commented on a submission by the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court on the uniforms of judges and jurors and their certificates. Participants also listened to a submission by the Head of Supreme People’s Procuracy on allowances for prosecutors. The session will close on Wednesday. The committee will scrutinize the legislative program for 2017, give comments on the enforcement of the Law on Thrift Practice and Waste Prevention in 2015 and the State budget balance in 2014. They will also hear a report on the results of the elections to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2016-2021 tenure.
