(VOVworld) – Vietnam has disbursed approximately 8 billion USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) capital in the past 8 months of 2014, up 4.5% from last year. This positive result is attributed to the high disbursement rate of several big projects that had been granted licenses in the previous years. It’s expected that a total of 12.5 billion USD will be disbursed by the end of this year, up 8.7% from last year. A trade surplus of 11.8 billion USD has also been recorded in the FDI sector.
