Acting President visits Dien Bien veterans
(VOVWORLD) - Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and a delegation of the Vietnam Red Cross Society offered incense on Sunday at the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield Martyrs' Temple and the A1 Martyrs Cemetery, and visited and presented gifts to veteran who took part in the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954.

Ms. Xuan laid a wreath and offered incense to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and those who heroically fought and laid down their lives at Dien Bien Phu.
The delegates vowed to promote the spirit of the Dien Bien Phu victory, and continue efforts, together with the Party, army, and people, to successfully carry out national renewal, industrialization, and modernization and build a more beautiful and prosperous Vietnam.
