Speaking to the Vietnamese media on Tuesday, he lauded Vietnam’s contribution through hosting the GMS-6 and the Cambodia-Lao-Vietnam Development Triangle Summit (CLV-10) later this month, saying that Vietnam has mobilized participation by governments and private sector in GMS initiatives.

The GMS has been one of the most successful programs for Asian cooperation and integration, Perdiguero said. The GMS cooperation launched in 1992 as an initiative of the ADB involves Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, and China’s Yunnan and Guangxi provinces.
