President Hamid Kazai has called on international forces led by NATO to transfer security control to Afghan forces.

President Karzai said he was disgusted by photos of US soldiers posing with the dead bodies of insurgents published by the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday. Karzai strongly condemned the "inhumane and provocative" behavior that could provoke widespread public anger as similar incidents have done previously. Mr. Karzai said an accelerated and full transition of security responsibilities is the only way to put an end to such scandals.
