African leaders discuss ways to tackle Boko Haram

(VOVworld) – Leaders of African nations will meet in Equatorial Guinea this Wednesday to seek a common strategy to tackle threats from the Boko Haram extremist Islamic group.

Leaders of member nations of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCA) will attend. This will be the first meeting of African leaders to discuss threats posed by Boko Haram, who has increased attacks in Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon, and Chad, causing great instability in Central and Western Africa.
