Kishida also met with US Secretary of State John Kerry and Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop on Monday to discuss the importance of resolving disputes in line with international law.  The trilateral strategic dialogue took place after China rejected the PCA’s decision in a lawsuit filed by the Philippines against China. Japan, the US, and Australian agreed that the decision is final and legally binding on both parties.

Earlier, the Stanislaw Association announced and presented the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organization its letter expressing its support for the PCA ruling and Vietnam’s fight to protect its maritime sovereignty.

Felix Castellanos Hernandez, Chairman of the Mexican Institute for Friendship and Cooperation with Vietnam (IACMV) on Monday sent a message to the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico, totally supporting the historic PCA ruling. The institute asked the Chinese government to respect the decision of the court, strongly supported Vietnam’s maritime sovereignty, particularly over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes, and hailed Vietnam’s efforts to ensure peace, security, and navigation and aviation freedom in the East Sea.
