Apple to start making MacBooks in Vietnam by mid-2023: Nikkei
(VOVWORLD) -Apple will start moving some MacBook laptop production to Vietnam as early as around May, as the US tech group continues diversifying its production base, Nikkei Asia on Tuesday quoted sources briefed on the matter as saying.

Apple produces between 20-24 million MacBooks a year. Over the past two years, the group has been planning to move some MacBook production to Vietnam and has set up a trial production line in the Southeast Asian country.
Apple has started mass-producing AirPods in Vietnam since 2020 and has moved some iPad and Apple Watch production to Vietnam this year, according to Nikkei Asia.
