The event was intended to inspire patriotism and foster relationship between people in the mainland and islands. Deputy Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court Le Hong Quang said: “Courts nationwide have organized activities honoring national seas and islands. They have visited and presented compassionate houses and gifts to soldiers and residents of islands and scholarships to their children. These activities have enhanced solidarity between residents and soldiers stationed on islands.”

To mark the occasion, 40 bank deposit books were presented to 40 families of naval soldiers with difficult circumstances.
