Lieutenant-General Le Van Han, the association’s President, said there were still the unfound remains of 200,000 martyrs and 300,000 martyrs unidentified although their bodies have been recovered. The work requires more effort from all of society.

Han said: “The Vietnam Martyrs’ Families Support Association is a social organization which has been working tirelessly over the years to help martyrs’ families get information and DNA tests. It has identified more than 600 martyrs’ remains, helping to relieve the pain of their families. The association will host the arts program to raise public awareness and responsibility for finding and identifying martyr’s bodies.”
