Art programs remember martyrs and invalids

(VOVWORLD) -Immortal feats and revolutionary heroism of generations of Vietnamese people were honored at an art show "Aspiration for Peace" hosted by the Youth Union on Sunday at Liberation Square connected to the Bell Tower of Quang Tri Citadel and Thach Han River Flower Dropping Wharf.

The program marked the 75th Invalids and Martyrs' Day, July 27.

A TV program "Sacred Vietnam" affirmed the Vietnamese nation's tradition of indomitable struggle "to die for the Fatherland to live", the great historical significance, and humane value of Invalids and Martyrs' Day. The program was aired on Sunday, connecting the Ho Chi Minh City Television Theater, Saigon Revolutionary Traditional Area, Cu Chi district, and Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery in Thu Duc city. It paid tribute to the noble dedication and sacrifice of heroes, wounded soldiers, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution over the past 75 years.

The Vietnam Art and Culture Exhibition Center opened on Sunday evening an exhibition "75 years of paying debts of gratitude" in Hanoi, displaying 100 documents and images highlighting the care of President Ho Chi Minh and leaders of the Party and State for the wounded soldiers, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution. The exhibition also features the search and gathering of martyrs' remains and the construction and renovation of cemeteries, and displays books, cultural and artistic works on war invalids, martyrs, and revolutionary families.
