The Vietnamese top diplomat talked to reporters about the exposition’s role in East Asia economic integration after attending the event. He said initiatives created at these two events have boosted trade and investment cooperation between ASEAN and Chinese business communities over the past decade. He added that Vietnam has always had the greatest number of attendees at the Expo among the ASEAN countries. This year more than 100 enterprises with 200 pavilions introduced Vietnamese agricultural products, food, tourism, handicrafts, and wood products. The events are great opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to promote business in China’s south-western regions and promote Vietnam’s image to its ASEAN and East Asian partners.
