Nur Ashikin Mohd Taib, High Commissioner of Malaysia in Dhaka addressed the event

ASEAN Dhaka Committee, comprising of Embassy/High Commission of Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam and Philippines, organized the celebration. Ambassadors and High Commissioners along with officials of all 8 ASEAN countries in Dhaka were present during the celebration, began with a flag hoisting ceremony and an ASEAN gastronomic festival.

Nur Ashikin Mohd Taib, High Commissioner of Malaysia in Dhaka, spoke on the occasion as the Chair of ASEAN Dhaka Committee. She recalled milestones in the history of ASEAN and highlighted delegation exchanges at government, business, and people level between ASEAN and Bangladesh. She reiterated ASEAN’s continued cooperation with Bangladesh and hope for a united, developing, and prosperous ASEAN Community.

Bangladeshi State Minister for Foreign Affairs  Shahriar Alam visited Vietnam food pavilion

The Bangladeshi State Minister congratulated the governments and peoples of the ASEAN Countries and hailed remarkable success achieved by the ASEAN in the last 50 years. He also sought ASEAN member countries’ support in favour of Bangladesh’s initiative to become Dialogue Partner of the ASEAN.
