ASEM Youth Week is an initiative co-sponsored by Viet Nam, Brunei, Ireland, and Laos, which was endorsed at the 10th ASEM Summit in October 2014 in Milan, Italy. It aims to enhance youth’s understanding of the Asia-Europe partnership and the ASEM process, raise awareness among youth of potential cooperation in eradicating poverty, and provide them a platform for taking action in the fight against hunger. Participants get an opportunity to develop skills in negotiation, diplomacy, and consensus-building.
