The national terror threat has been on high since September last year with an increasing number of foreign fighters, supporters of extremists, and potential terrorists.

About 90 Australians have traveled to Syria and Iraq to join extremist groups, with 30 having already returned to Australia.

Australia will revise the civil law and immigration law to allow the government to revoke or cancel citizenship of people connected to terrorism.
