Australia pledges 320 million USD for Asian Development Fund

(VOVWORLD) - Australia has pledged 492 million AUD (323 million USD) for the Asian Development Fund's (ADF14) 2025-2028 to help respond to the needs of the region and deliver transformative development projects across the Indo-Pacific, said the Australian Foreign Minister Office in a press release on Friday.

The Fund is administered by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and provides grants to lower-income developing countries for initiatives that reduce poverty and improve quality of life.

Australia has been working closely with the Fund and the ADB to ensure it delivers for the region, and addresses Pacific priorities, including climate change, the press release added.
