Bad weather causes catastrophic plane crash in Sudan

The Sudanese SUNA news agency has confirmed a report that bad weather was the main reason for a catastrophic plane crash on Sunday in Sudan that claimed the lives of all 31 passengers. SUNA said the aircraft crashed into a mountain just before it was to land in the southern city of Talodi as seasonal heavy rains hindered visibility. The aircraft was carrying a senior delegation of the Sudanese government from Khartoum to Kordofan state to attend the closing ceremony of the holy month of Ramadan.
